Directions:

For Flower

In magic circle 8 sc

round 1: working in front loop of the stitch only {sc,hdc,dc,hdc,sc} in each stitch around to form 8 petals, sl last petal to first petal

note: they will be all scrunched up don’t worry about it

Round 2: working in back loop of stitches in magic circle, {sc, ch3} in each stitch to form 8 chain loops, sl the last ch to the first sc to form last loop

Round 3 : working in ch3 loops {sc,hdc,3dc,hdc,sc} in each loop to form 8 petals, sl last sc to first sc of fist petal,

Turn your work over so you are looking at the back of the flower

Round 4 : you will be working in the ch3 loops you make in round 2 again. {sc on right side of the petal from round 3, ch 5, sc on the left side of the petal from round 3} for each petal forming 8 ch5 loops.

Round 5: working in the ch5 loops {sc,hdc,dc,3tr,dc,hdc,sc} in each loop to form 8 petals. sl last petal to first petal and finish off. Leave a long enough tail to sew onto headband.

Here is the video for making the flower

Headband 1

In magic circle sc 6 times. pull tight

continue sc around forming a tube till it is long enough to slide over your plastic headband

Insert the plastic headband and either crochet or sew the tube closed.

Then sew the flower onto the headband where you want it.

Headband 2

Ch 5 (or any amount you want to form the width of the headband you would like. I like mine on the smaller side)

row 1: sc x 4 (or amount needed to complete the row of your headband)

row 2: Db x4, ch 1 (or amount needed to complete the row of your headband)

Repeat rows 1 and 2 until desired length.

Note: I do not ch before starting the Db row (row 2) because I do a starting Db  (I think I learned  it from  the Shibaguyz) It is a sc and ch2 without doing the ch1 turn stitch.

I sewed an small piece of elastic on the ends of the headband to give it a little stretch.

sew the flower onto the headband where you want it.

Hope you enjoy making these as much as I did. Leave a comment and a picture of yours below
