You will need:
- medium weight yarn
- Size 5 knitting needles
- 4 double sided knitting needles size 8 (you can use size 5 but you will need to do a few more rounds to make the bottom the right size)

- darning needle
- stitch marker
stitches:
- k= knit
- P= purl
- C4F = cable 4 front
- C4B= cable 4 back
- hsc = half single crochet
Directions for C4F:

- K2 from the holding needle
Directions for C4B:
- Slip 2 stitches onto holder
- Holding stitches in back of work K2 from the main needle
- K2 from the holding needle

- Yarn over
- Draw threw only the yarn from step 3
This will leave you with loops from previous hsc.
Pattern:
For sides of cozy:
- Cast on 60 stitches (15 sets of 4)
- C4F across row
- P across row
- C4B across row
- P across row
- repeat steps 2-5 until desired height ( I did 13 repeats for a total of 14 times)
- Knit off leaving a long tail for sewing up.
You can watch a video of how I did this Here.
For bottom of cozy
Using the crochet hook to start (You can knit 6 stitches in a magic circle but I prefer using a crochet hook)
- Ch2
- In second ch from hook do 5 hsc
- transfer 2 loops onto 3 of the double sided needles
Using only the double sided needles now you will be knitting in the round
- K2 stitches in each loop around your needles
- K1 stitch in each loop around your needles (You will want to put a stitch marker in before starting this round so you know when you have completed it)
- *K2 stitches in next loop, K1 stitch in next loop* repeat from * to * around the needles
- Repeat rows 2-3 until circle is large enough for your bottle.( I did 2 repeats for a total of 3 times ) Always make sure you end on row 3 so there is no problem knitting off.
- Knit off . I like to take the crochet hook at the end and do a slipstitch to attach to the ends of the circle.
You can watch a video of how I did the circle here.
For the strap
make one long handle or two short if you wish
Using the size 5 knitting needles.
- Cast on 6 stitches
- K1 row
- P1 row
- repeat rows 2-3 until desired length. (I did 120 rows you can do it so your cozy’s strap fits for you)
- Knit off
Directions for attaching everything using a darning needle.
- sew the sides of cozy body together to form a tube
- sew the circle on to the bottom of the cozy body
- attach the strap where you would like it on the top. (I did it straight across from each other as I did one long handle)
Now your ready to go out and take your drink bottle with you in a pretty cozy that will help keep it cold or warm.
